Thinning hair: what to do

FullSizeRender.jpg

Thick, vibrant hair is a hallmark of good health.  But many, regardless of age, suffer from thinning hair. The reasons are many and include stress, nutrition, hard water, thyroid conditions, and more. Thin hair can also be hereditary. Whatever the cause, everyone I encounter simply wants to fix it. And while some reasons for thinning hair are beyond our control, many are not. Following are a few measure you can take.

A GOOD SHAMPOO.  Luckily, the best shampoos for thinning hair can make a big difference. How? By rinsing out harmful buildup and stimulating hair follicles, while adding thickness and volume. Using a shampoo designed specifically for thinning hair can help to stop it in its tracks. One of my favorites is Nature’s Gate Strengthening Shampoo with Biotin.

PROTEIN.  Protein treatments can restore healthy luster and gloss to damaged hair that has been stripped dry.

MOISTURE.  Treat yourself to moisturizing and conditioning treatments to help your hair appear fuller and thicker naturally.

Although no one should expect miracles from any product, a stronger, healthier head of hair could be in your future. Questions? Feel free to give me a call -- I'm always happy to talk hair.
